Help with a 1984 PT-36
I would do an audit on the rig, but it's 8 hours from my home base one way.
That could get costly. Going by the ad description, it's been a long time since the engine was checked. I would be curious about the condition of the hoses and coolant. If the AC was changed to 134A six years ago, that's a good thing, but I'll bet the Freon is out by now. The seller should be able to supply tire information and verify the rig is road ready. It has been for sale for quite a long time, that might mean something. I live in San Diego and the coach, #541 on birdconnection.com, is located in Richmond Michigan, just north of Detroit. Yes, I'm looking for someone to do a "first pass". I called and emailed Jeff but no response yet. I'm fairly sure the coach is in good condition but really don't want to travel to Michigan without having someone eyeball it for me if I can make that happen. Tire date codes and that sort of stuff. Otherwise I'll probably fly over and check it myself with the intention of driving it back.
