55 and stay alive get 10 Plus miles per gallon
jon, dave is a smartass and hes just cranking you!!i'm a smartass too, just not in
the same class as dave! randy ----- Original Message ----- From: jon lechich To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 1:14 AM Subject: Re: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: 55 and stay alive get 10 Plus miles per gallon Yep when your retired you can go as slow as you want or go as fast as you want Dave. But to me the adventure of motor homeing is not getting from point A to B as fast as I can but to enjoy the countryside. I know you've got a little lead foot and I remember your little hot car and their nothing wrong with that. But also I know that your a great mechanic and you did one hell of a nice job on fixing up your previous Bird. So I'm the trutle and you are the hair and who cares who get first, last or even their. Jon PS those old ships by the way were just a tab bit faster than what you mentioned about. Dan Weaver 55 MPH on hiways and biways? I stayed alive at more than that on every motorcycle, car, and motorhome I ever owned. Shoot, with a few mods, I can get 60 MPH out of a pedal start moped. You are retired, right Jon? You have time to go low and slow for 2 MPG -- good on ya!!! Those Navy ships were mighty slow and set the speed standard for you did they???? Shoot, just drive her at 35 MPH with the flashers on and get 12 MPG. It'll remind you of max speed on your ships. I have never done 55 in any vehicle capable of more, unless in a school zone. I could have had you and Dave home in 12 hours min less... when you pulled out of NM for WA. Remember, I am the previous owner of the "10 MPG" coach you keep bragging on ..that my best was 8 MPG in. Wait 'till I retire and make a $$ bet.. then and I'll drive that same coach at 45 MPH and get 11 MPG in the old coach.... (no I won't, I'd get 50 miles down the road and crank her way up anyways - $$ bet be darned). My wife does keep telling to slow down though. Maybe when I reach your advanced age I'll be able to do 55??? Dan --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Jon" > > Just getting back to good economical driving pratice.
