power problem
Starting the generator with shore power plugged in might not work
right -- the "safe line" switch may continue to receive power from the shore connection. Don't know, for sure, 'cause of the different electrical setup from year to year. Before you go nuts taking things apart on your coach, unplug the line from shore power, and use your tester in the shore power socket. It looks some thing like this: 0 I I I The semi-round at top is Ground, the center, bottom is neutral. Left and right are red or black. Use your tester to check from left to bottom (=110?), right to bottom (=110?), left to right (=220?), and top to bottom (=0?). (Left or right to top should also = 110). If the shore power is anything other than this, then it's wired wrong. Do you have a polarity light in your coach? It should indicate "normal" polarity, otherwise, the shore power is wired wrong and there's a risk of serious or fatal shock when you step off the coach to the ground. Pete Masterson aeonix1@...
