Thanks Bob:
I think mine is called a concentric potentiometer, I am not certain, it appears to be a sealed version, has two dials one on top of the other similar to the old volume, bass controls on a car radio and it says it is 100/500K. I think it has 6 small wires. It is used for contrast and brightness on the tube. I went to the web on a guitar site and see some similar but the ratings are different. Then I have to do something with the knobs. Thanks in advance for your help. Pot is an abreviation for the word potentiometer. 3 terminals, one in the center is a wiper and gets a glaze from use. Sometimes a spray into the opening will clear it up. Two major concerns on replacement are resistance value and wattage, along with shaft configuration. Disconnected, measure the resistance between the outer terminals, this will determine resistance value. Physical size will determine wattage. Even if the part number doesn't match you can replace from an electronics shop of the web. bob janes, 87fc35, greenville, sc --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "jwasnewski" > > My camera is intermittant.
