Hose R&R...Making Progress
Curt,
That would be really really really great to get a write-up on these projects.
Did you take any pictures to go with the write-up?

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Hose R&R...Making Progress

Progress...

Today I got back to R&Ring more hose, specifically the engine air
compressor coolant hose from the engine block (above the starter) to the
froward end of the engine driven air compressor. To loosen up the
compressor forward coolant hose fitting, I made up an extended 7/8" open
ended wrench. Using a Harbor Freight 7/8" B/O end wrench, I welded the
box end to a 1" pipe. This is about 27" total length. Why did I do
this? I needed to crack (loosen) the hose connection at the front of the
air compressor. I'm not skinny enough to slither up beside anything to
get to that fitting. The tool worked great, laying on my creeper and
working from the passenger side of the transmission. Once the hose
connection was cracked, I could reach in from the drivers side over top
of the engine and finish removing that hose connection. The good thing
is the radiator is out of the bus giving me that reach in and finish
removing that fitting. I could not get the leverage need to reach in
with a wrench and loosen that fitting.

Randy, your worker must be really really really really skinny, really
really small, to get up in that area to R&R that compressor hose.

I'll post more as progress is made. Maybe I'll write up a project
procedure for changing thermostats, change fuel & coolant hoses, an all
in one procedure.

This is truly fun...
