propane fill
Hi Ernie,
The last few times that I stopped at the Flying Hook for LP, they said that they no longer were opening the small valve to let air escape as the tank gets filled. You should be able to go to any propane dealer that fills tanks. They can purge (pull a vacuum) on the tank and get most of the residual air removed. You could also do it yourself if/when the tank is completely empty if you have access to a machine that can evacuate an A/C system. You would just need to get or make an adapter that would screw into the propane fill valve to pull the vacuum. I'm also at 4500 feet above sea level. > Ernie Ekberg > 83PT40 > Livingston,Montana > "POO-DOO-EXPRESS" > ----- Original Message ----- > From: sfedeli3 > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Saturday, March 03, 2007 1:51 PM > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Re: propane fill > > > Hi Ernie, > > Try having your tank "Purged" before you get it filled next time. > It is my understanding that the tanks get residual air in them over > time and will not accept enough LP when you fill up.
