Sunroof
I looked and was unable to find the proper gasket for the sunroof on
my 87FC. I got to the point where I thought I would just replace the
sunroof with a new one that would fit into the cut out, but they were
a bit pricey.

So I took the old one out, cleaned all of the old sealant off, and
then reinstalled using new sealant(the white stuff used for sealing
things on the roof). I sealed it in a way that that the sealant
overlapes the glass just a bit all the way around(use masking tape
here) and down onto the roof.

It is now air and water tight, I don't open it do to the fact that it
will break the sill. In an emergency you can use the sunroof, but I
like the fact that I know there are no water leaks and while driving
I don't have the air leaks that were common to the sunroof.

If you would like me to e-mail some photos to you let me know.

I've fixed it with liquid neoprene rubber sealant, but in the long
run I need to replace the gasket. One of the two locking arms is also
broken.

If you go to http://www.sunroofdoctor.com then click on Sunroof
Parts, then Parts for Aftermarket Installed Sunroofs (because BB is
not in the factory installs), none of the latch types shown match
what I have.
