That Elusive 3208 Oil Leak
Glad to help, the formed coolant hoses are Cat# 7W-9080 and 9079 one each. The
cooler housing will require two gaskets, 9N3354 and 4W7147 and two oring seals
9N-2281.
Good luck, MH

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] That Elusive 3208 Oil Leak

This morning I crawled under the Bird anmd took Mike's advice. Sprayed
the whole filter/cooler area with Brake Clean. Wiped it down and fired
her up. Found 3 seperate leaks. The aluminum block that has all the oil
pressure senders had some loose fittings. That was an easy fix. The oil
cooler was leaking from the top. One heck of aplace to get at. I
tightened all the bolts but it is still leaking. I will have to remove
all the cooliong hoses including the metal one that goes across to the
R.H. side as you cannot get at all the bolts to remove the cover. It is
hard to see but I suspect that the oil is "following " the threads of
one of the bolts. Time for some good silicone and a new gasket. Those
of you that have the same leak should check that area. Thank you Mike
for that tip.
