8V92 Low Fuel Pressure
Have you verified the gauge is reading correctly?

After priming/starting the 8V92...Fuel Pressure readings were 8 at idle, 45 at 2150 rpms. Ran the engine for a few minutes. Fuel pressure now 2 at idle, 30 at 2150 rpms. The manual says 20 to 30 at idle, 50 to 70 at 2150 rpms. A new fuel pump was installed. Same low pressures as above. Removed the pressure relief plug, gasket, pin, spring, relief valve, from the *old* pump. All looks good, nothing stuck. My error, I did not take fuel pressure readings before the hose change, problem could have been there before. Thoughts? -- Curt Sprenger 1987 PT38 8V92 "MacAttack Racing" Anaheim Hills, Calif.
