I replaced mine a few years ago....I think the diode was about $10 at our
local electronics supply house. Taken out of it's mounting, it kind of looks like a little sparkplug....the lug on one end is a little eye loop, and the 10ga wire is soldered to this lug. There is a number printed on the diode...it can be matched at most larger electronic supply houses...make sure you confirm the polarity.
