Replacing the pulley on a FC to fix the belt issues
Power Steering Specialists in Columbus OH did the pulley up date for my 83. A
new pump shaft is required and a dedicated Blue Bird pulley. OE on 87 and up. The two belt pulley is 6.5" dia., pump runs a little slower, less likely to cavitate. I replaced the A/C drive belt with a second one between the crank and radiator fan. There is a 3208 belt data drawing in the files section you may refer to on this change. Most belt problems I've had on our coach is with the power steering belt slipping during low speed turns. I open up the front of the coach to check belts for condition and tension annually. This spring, I'm going to look into a two groove pulley for the power steering pump to see if it will improve the situation.
