Aux, generator capability questions, propane injection and slack adjusters...
Howdy gang,
I bought a Yamaha 2800 watt generator to use on Pokey when I need
some AC power, but don't want to run the big genset.
Here is a link to the specs:
http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-800-Watt-Po...Generator-
YG2800IH/dp/tech-data/B0000614UI/ref=de_a_smtd/002-0603847-9582408
My hope had been that it would also run one A/C unit, but when I try,
it REALLY pulls the generator down and the overload light comes on. I'm
at 7800" and have had trouble with the effect of altitude on generators
before (read loss of power and efficiency). Should a 2800 watt
generator with a 125V/30 amp outlet run one A/C unit (basement
Cruiseairs)? They run fine otherwise.
Other than that, everything on Colorado is good, spring is springing
and Pokey is ready for the road. I finally got my propane injection
setup installed. Noticeable power difference, I'm anxious to see how it
affects the fuel economy. Also, should an 81 FC35 have automatic slack
adjusters? They have grease fitting on them. Any and all help is
greatly appreciated. Doug n' Pokey
