Rob,
If you wire the EMS before the transfer switch, you have to choose
one input for the EMS (shore or generator or invertor). There are
multiple inputs into the transfer switch(es), but should only be one
output to the circuit breaker panel

So for instance if you choose to use the shore power input into the
EMS, generator and invertor are still available, but the coach is
not surge protected from the gen or invertor output.

If you install after the transfer switch, shore, gen, invertor power
introduction into the coach are all checked. I installed on the
shore cable just prior to the transfer switch due to easier install
location with my setup, and also to ensure the two transfer switches
are also protected from a shore power surge. I distrust the shore
power the most.
