Does your '79 have air bags suspension? If so, check the "dog bones" both front
and back. That is what I found on our '81FC. The bushings were metal-to-metal. They are hard to see and may need to be removed to check them. Made a huge difference on mine. I spent about $4k and 2 years trying to get this fixed. All the while it was getting worse. Good luck. Bluebird in GA said that a 79 does have a problem of wandering and that there is no updated steering box conversion. Is there anything or any suggestion on how to cure this problem.
