Alternators Rebuilt
In my bus the leg voltage and the amp usage gauges work when the genset is
running or plugged to shore power. When dry camping on the inverter, the LED bar graph (Trace Inverter) control panel shows amp usage. Over a period of time I see the pilot dash battery volt gauge drop, at which time I start the genset to recharge. Depending on equipment usage I can go 16-36 hours without starting the genset. I have six 12v house batteries. When the shore power or genset power is terminated the inverter automatically goes to inverter mode, unless I shut it off. That is good because the reefer keeps cooling in case of a power failure, assuming gas is available. My inverter does not supply 110v to the bay outlets, so the outside entertainment system will only work with shore power or the genset. Hope this helps. Yours may be different because it is a later model. I have no idea if my alts put out other then I have full 13+v on the 11 batteries when I stop. It would be a nice option to have working proper. Inverter camping this weekend in the desert, I noticed the leg one and two volts and amp gauges have no reading at all????. Is it normal for a 94'ishPt to have the inverter power not show up on the gauges?
