Dead bus... Help!

Dead bus... Help!
The batteries weren't dead. The ground wire to the chasis had come
loose and wasn't making contact. The generator was running. The house
batteries are brand new ... I just installed them on Friday (what a
job). The engine batteries aren't that old (2-3 years at most).
