Sliding Trays In Bays
I installed a pair of Kwikee Super Slides a couple of weeks ago. Bought them
from http://www.tweetys.com, which had the best price I could find. Super Slides are the rails only, with you supplying the platform (3/4-inch plywood). You have to cut the steel front and back pieces to fit the width. I chose to use 2 48-inch rail sets. That turned out to be longer than could be fitted in the space, even though measurements said it would work. The problem is that there is a latch on the right rail of each that extends another inch or so, and that latch turns out to be right where the right-hand strut on mine (non-gas side) comes down, forcing the rail to be set back in a couple of inches. My "solution" was to inset one tray on the other. The narrow one is full depth, and the wide one is full width but a couple of inches shorter, front to back. I had been planning to put up a pictorial, and your question got me to complete it, here: http://www.arcatapet.net/travel/superslide.cfm On 4/3/2007 at 5:04 PM truitt44@... wrote: >Hank Hannigan, > I seem to remember you having sliding trays put in your bays.
