Overweight
In California the Scale Patrolman look for weight on every axle and
total weight. Then they look for a white sticker on the passanger side of the windshield. This year is a 7 and this quarter is cut top right. on the passanger door is a two digit number which gives registration max weight of trunk and trailer, 54,000 lbs cost about $2,700. per the year. Below the weight limit number is a CA number which is the same for every truck in your fleet. They scan the ca number to check your medical record (two year physical), insurance compliance, and your drug/Alchol screening compliance. I get pulled over every quarter for a complete inspection. The only place I can see the CHP making a stink about weight is bridge crossing. Roadway limits on signs like in residential areas is set up to keep comercial traffic out of children-friendly neighborhoods.
