Hi Gang,

Seems many of you folks may not know who I am, but I (along with my
brother Jeff) used to be a regular on this and other Wanderlodge
sites. I thoroughly enjoy my Wanderlodge and discussing them.

Last spring however, I began to see that while the concept of owning
an RV was sound, as my little boys grew up and began to get involved
with more 'stuff', and as a family we became friends with other
families who didn't RV, owning my 'bird became less fulfilling. We
now travel via condo and cabin rentals with other families much more
than RV-ing. As such, my 'bird sits in Mike Hohnsteins barn with
only occasional visits and local outings. This spring, it simply
must find a new owner who will use it more.

This coach has been enjoyably renovated by me, (and this site for
that matter). There are very few systems that haven't been gone
over. I'm asking $38,500, instead of the former $47,500 last spring-
I really didn't want to sell last year. This year however, my wife
and I talked it over and we really must move on to other forms of
vacationing with our friends. You can see the coach at Jeff's site,

lot of information and photos there. She's listed as no longer
available but that will be changing as soon as Jeff gets some time to
arrange it.

I want to answer a question regarding price that always seems to come
up. Should you buy a well renovated coach at a premium price, or a
bargain coach and get the work done on it? I think most folks on
this site would agree, and I speak from experience, buy the finished
coach at the best price you can. The price may seem like a premium
but when you factor in all the running around involved, finding parts
that are no longer stocked, preparing the coach for service at a shop
(valuables, cover the carpet, furniture, hope they don't mess with
too many things, etc...), you are ahead with a finished coach. Keep
in mind that the CAT dealer may work on the engine, but they won't
touch the airbags, the suspension folks will replace airbags but
won't recarpet, the carpet folks won't touch the re-upholstry, the
leveling jacks aren't the awning guys, Heaters, appliances etc...
There is a LOT of running around involved.

Additionally, when I work on a problem, I go over the ENTIRE system.
For example, when I rebuilt the engine fan, I replaced and rebuilt
all the engine pulleys, put on new belts, new hoses, flushed the
radiator several times, upgraded to a 195 degree thermo switch from a
185, etc... Anything wrong gets fixed. A shop on the clock won't do
that. When I replaced an air conditioner last spring, I took the
whole front panel off the roof and recaulked all fasteners, installed
a new TV antenna and cable, new CB cable, etc... This is the level
of maintenance I go to. Very over the top because I like this coach
and expected to keep it for a long time. I have meticulous records.

Anyways, I'm getting long-winded here. My baby's for sale, I'm open-
minded about what the market might bear, she's paid for, someone come
and give her a good home.
