Air governor
Chuck You can get to the governor from under the bed. It is in the
back of the air compressor. I changed mine last year. They are only about $40.00 so it is no big deal if it hasn't been changed for a while. I set mine to spit off at 120#. I think 150# is too high. You don't need that much pressure. On mine the air tanks are front to back right behind the front axle & in front of the fuel tank. The first one is the front brake tank. the next is the air throttle & air suspension tank. These two have a valve that can be drained but I have never got any thing out of them The other two are above the pass thru compartment. There is a access plate that can be unscrewed & removed. My tank on the curb side is the Wet tank & the one on the street side is the rear brake tank. They have an expello valve that is automatic. Hope this helps [4 air tanks] Don 89 SP 36' Butler , PA The bird is due to come out of storage soon and I know I have some extra things to work on. At the end of last year (still in good weather) the air pressure would build to 150psi before the pressure relief would kick in via the governor. Is it best to just replace it? If so what is the easiest access (remove bumper, remove fan etc)? Also, is it necessary to manually bleed the air tanks or does the drier take care of all moisture? Also, where are the air tanks located? Chuck Harrison Akron, Ohio 90 SP36 ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
