Hot water never goes through the pump, just cool water out of the tank. You're
right though, it could be over heating.
I just purched a '85 PT 36 and thought I had pump problems. After much study of
the drawings I realized it was
cockpit trouble - forgot to restore the "fill" switch.

Bt the way, had my phone call been 3 hours earlier you coach would be mine. But
everything works out - I'm happy
with what I got.

A while back someone mentioned a $10.00 rebulid kit for the house water
pump in my Bird. Anyone familiar with that? The pump works okay most
of the time but overloads the 12v circuit breaker, especially when
running hot water. So I'm guessing it's overheating? Thought I would
try fixing before replacing.
