Gray Water tank crossover to sewage tank
Some of the new high-end (Prevost) coaches have a single combined
gray/black water holding tank so there's no practical reason that the
holding tanks can't be connected ... indeed, some folks have cross
connected the holding tanks to solve a gray water surplus situation
(I plan to look into this later on ... typically my gray water tank
gets quite full and the black tank is still nearly empty.)

You might consider simply replacing both the gray and black water
tanks with a single (larger) holding tank -- depending on the access
and plumbing situation in your coach.

I note that the tanks sizes seem small compared to more recent
'birds... but '78 was a long time ago.
