84FC35 water pump (house)
Keith,
If you still have the original house water pump (separate motor with pump drive belt) I suggest you replace it with a new unit rather than rebuild the old one. Some folks like to keep their Birds as original as possible, but when it comes to invisible components like this pump, I usually go with new technology hardware. You will find newer pumps like those from FloJet and Shurflo run smoother, quieter and will give you more capacity. I installed a new FloJet variable speed pump a few months ago and it has been great.
