1978 Wanderlodge, a few more questions.
Jon,
I also have a '78 FC. I recently took the air horns apart and cleaned the insides up. They work like a charm. There is nothing to the design. There is a copper washer with a wire welded to it, and a small disc with a hole in the center. The disc slips over the wire on the large washer and the two halves of the horn module screw together to hold things in place. I would think if the previous owner had air horns in a different place that he also re-routed the hoses. Good luck tracing it out. To get the air horn module off, unscrew the trumpet and then unscrew the module from the attachment tube. I had a hard time unscrewing the trumpets and damaged one trying. But now that they are working, I am having a lot of fun scaring the A-holes that cut me off.
