PT bay door hinges
Scott:
When ordering the material, allow 6 inches extra per hinge. Once the door was dismounted from the coach, replacement of the rubber was easy. Took three days to get the screws out, ON ONLY ONE BAY, with a helper wielding the sledgehammer while I held the impact driver. Had to replace all the screws due to corrosion and damaged threads. These were a non-standard, self-threading size--unobtainable--so I "upgraded" to stainless hex-socket pan-head style screws which I had to cut to length. There are fifteen or sixteen on that single hinge! --M.R.Kane '85 PT40 |
