The search is on... AGAIN
"When you think long you think wrong". Seems to be a lot of that going around
these days. An old man told me that once upon a time. Good luck on your search. You get what you pay for. Caveat Emptor. Leroy Eckert 1990"Smoke N Mirrors" Niceville, FL I don't do oil analysis, I change it often. Just like Greyhound does. ----- Original Message ----- From: littlehouseonprairie1 To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, May 09, 2007 5:17 PM Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] The search is on... AGAIN I recently missed purchasing a beautiful FC33RB in Indiana by about 4 days. Still crying in my beer...my own fault. Anyway, the search is on AGAIN! My ideal is a 1984-1987 FC33 with rear bath. I like the size and layout of this coach alot. My requirements: 1) Non-smoking, clean vehicle with all systems working (except maybe engine AC which apparently rarely survives). 2)proper maintenance with records. I'm a very competent mechanic and electrician, but am not interested in a restoration at this point in life. 3) Oil analysis must be OK, 4) realistic price... I've researched for 2-years and am pretty savy in terms of the market. At the same time, I do appreciate down-home TLC, proper maintenance, and improvements, and would expect to pay accordingly. I've looked at Gary Millers on the net and believe this wins the Superbowl MVP award. If it was a rear bath I'd buy it sight unseen at the price he is asking. I've also looked at Dan Darst's FC35RB locally (very nice but slightly out of my price range). What I'm NOT looking for is a coach that needs new tires, shocks, brakes, air-bags, generator, backup camera, refrigerator, furnaces, hoses, belts, swing radiator, toilet, stove, tile, carpet, upholstry, windshield, air dryer, dump valves, alternator, batteries, awnings, etc., etc., You get the picture (maybe tires... but not the whole punch-list you sometimes find). I realize this is like hopeing to find a 1968 GTO convertible in somebody's barn for $6,000 (that's a joke so don't throw rotten emails). On the other hand, the 33RB isn't the most desirable, highest resale BB out there so maybe I have hope. Please let me know if you see or hear of anything. THANKS! RW in Illinois murphy4@...
