Not Much Luck Buying Tires for our WL in San Antonio, TX :(
Actually. both the Michelins and Firestones state you can use 315's on
8.5" rims. The issue really is, does the rim have enough offset to allow the correct tire spacing between duals. And I can say that the ones that came on my coach do not as they are too close for my comfort. But the coach ran on 315's for ten years before I got it, with 15K a year avg and never had a tire failure. The tires do not touch when axles are aired up, just really close. They do touch when the tag is down. The big concern is, since the spacing is so close, it is possible to pickup a small stone and take out both tires. Did you change over to 9" rims, or were they already on the coach??? > > Sea Ya > Larry > NYC > 84 35FCSB > |
