Not Much Luck Buying Tires for our WL in San Antonio, TX :(
Woops, should have said that Firestones 315/80R22.5 can be mounted
on 8.25" depending on their load range. Michelin does not specify load range, just that they can be mounted on 8.25" rims (or at least the old brocheure for the XZA's I have states that). Firestone states that if you have a 315/80R22.5 load range L (20 ply - max speed 55 MPH) it must be mounted on a 9" rim. I used the FS400 315/80R22.5 rated for max speed 75MPH which are the 18 ply load range J, which can be mounted on 8.25" rims. But I believe the real issue is still rim offset, which I have not been able to find info on. So when the tag and drive axles air bags are aired up things are OK, when the tag air bag is dumped the drive tires touch.
