To minimize the chance of too much air getting in the system change one
filter, the Racor, for instance, then start the engine and let it run a
couple of minutes. Shut the engine down and change the other filter,
the spin on, for instance, and start the engine.

This way, if you goober it up, you will have a good idea which one you
did wrong.

The goal is trying to keep excess air out of the system, hence filling
the Racor, and by the way, filling the spin on, if applicable prior to
installing it.

Don't get wrapped around the axle on this. It is a simple, straight
forward evolution.
