Charging gauges
Don, Scott
Gauges on the overhead panel BATTERY CHARGE + COACH LOAD= ALT CHARGER AMPS. If they work correctly. DC Amp gauge labeled CHARGE shows net output from Battery charger or alternator to the batteries DC Amp gauge labeled COACH LOAD shows the amount of 12Volt current being consumed by coach systems. The sum of these two gauges should approximate the Alt/Charger amp reading. I.E. The alternator is feeding the batteries and the coach 's electrical appetite. If the coach and its batteries are too hungry and the alternator cannot produce enough feed, then you will be electrically dead after a while. Confused? don't feel bad, these coaches are an electrical researchers dream.
