Another generator problem? Two questions?
Thomas,
I was seeing what I thought were a little high temps around 200 on my
generator. I found a slight leak where the metal overflow stem attaches to the
neck of the resevoir. I ground off a flat side to a washer put over the stem and
soldered the stem to the neck and the washer to the stem and to the tank for
support of the stem. I noticed the tank had a label on it that read not to fill
the tank but half full. I evacuated down to a half tank. I pressure washed the
radiator and fan blades with a soap mixture. My temps now run in the 180 - 185
range.
