Battery Choices - Re: Getting Back on the Road this Weekend...
Stephen as you well know there are many many other companies that
sell similar products with different trade names but all manufactured by the same company. I see nothing wrong with that. Interstate deep cycle batteries are still fine batteries very well made and actually slightly heavier for the same battery U2200 versus T105 and more capacity at 232AH versus 225AH for the T105. I paid $58 each for the Interstate batteries and could not get a T105 even if I ordered them for less then $100. What do you sell and ship them to NY for? As I noted earlier Interstate batteries are predominent here in New York and can be easily obtained almost anywhere, a very important factor to me as I travel. There is no such thing as a trouble free anything and if I get in the middle of no where and need a replacement I want to get it whether its a tire or a battery. Thats why I buy Interstate batteries and Michelin RV tires. I actually looked for Trojans when I needed the first ones for the 1982 FC35 but could not find them anywhere close by (nearest place that stocked them was Buffalo, New York). And then I bought two sets of four Interstates for the 1982 FC35, one set for the coach and another for the high reach machine we have. I still have the same set of 6 Interstates in the 1985 PT 40 and still have the 6 Optima batteries also. Hmmm arent I allowed to do that I simply noted before that in my opinion Interstate batteries are comparable in every way to Trojans and can be bought a lot cheaper here. If others have another experience then they can chose for themselves based on their personal needs. tom warner vernon center,NY 1985 PT40 .
