Hot Water Tank Dry Switch
Bill,
The sensor on my '84FC is just a screw threaded into a plastic insulator in the center of a pipe plug mounted into a "T" on the hot water outlet of the water heater. My wire is also disconnected and grounded. When changing my water heater, I found the pipe plug was full of crap that may have prevented the wire from grounding. Can anyone tell me how the "Hot water tank dry switch" works. I cannot find my sensor, and the orange wire which should go to the sensor is grounded, which allows the relay to disengage. > If I went with plastic tubing, I would assume that the "T" fitting would have to be right next tothe tank so it can be grounded as well, either that, or ground the fitting. > Any help would be appreciated. > Thanks > > Bill 84 FC 35 SB "$quanderlodge" > Terrace, B.C.
