I replaced the original Sharp in my '85 PT last month. Nearly all of
the currently available units are about 2 inches deeper than the
original, and they are different width x height requiring adding trim
around the face. The current model Sharp (R-930) is within a half
inch of the original in depth, identical in width, and about one inch
shorter. The others are often cheaper, but I chose the Sharp (R-930
AK...the black one) to avoid fitting problems.

My coach has Cruise-airs, and the duct for the kitchen zone runs over
the oven. This makes a tight fit, so that the heat from the oven
vents out the Cool-o-matic vent behind the cabinet face. Therefore no
additional reworking of the trim was needed, even though the new unit
leaves a gap at the top front.

Very little of the unit shows except for the door, so I found the
stainless steel unit's extra cost unnecessary. I purchased through my
local Lowe's by special order, at no extra cost. (Home Depot in my
area charges a $55 fee.)

One change of note: the new unit does not have screw-on feet. Rather
they are snapped-in and held in place by a pin vertically up through
each foot. I used long sheet metal screws up through the front feet
only, via the original front pair of holes in the oven surround. (The
original had been removed in 1998 according to a repair tag inside the
cover, and was held in only by screws in the front two feet and the
snugness of the cabinet. If I'd known that I wouldn't have had to
undo the light as Ralph wrote.)

Also the power cord on the 930 is shorter than the original, which
necessitated an additional short APPLIANCE extension cord. If yours
plugs in to the left of the unit, you may need one too.

Another suggestion is to use a digital camera to record the cabinet
disassembly process--there were a bazillion screws in different sizes
all over! I even had to take the trim loose around the cooktop to get
enough clearance along the wall.
