Any A/C Folks
I believe mine are Domestic, will have to climb up top and see. I haven't had a
seconds trouble with any of them, knock on wood. I would just like for the
fans to cut off.

My coach has 3 "duo-therm by Dometic" thermostats that control the
ACs. They have a temperature set point (like a home thermostat) and
when set to "cool" (right switch) and the left switch is set to
"auto" the temperature selector will cause the fan speed to change
and the compressor to cycle on/off -- and even cuts the fan off
entirely if the temperature is "reached."

This has been particularly pleasant with our recent stay in Texas as
we were able to set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature, then
the compressor would keep the air dry -- and eventually would slow
down the fan and finally turn off both compressor and fan when it was
sufficiently cool. This works quite nicely as the temperature would
eventually cool down below 70 (outside) during the night, and
otherwise somebody (me) would have to get up (amidst many complaints)
to turn off the AC otherwise.

I upgraded 2 of my 3 AC units to Dometic "high-efficency" ACs (10
amps for 13,500 btu instead of 15 amps for the same btu cooling
power) and after inquiry to Dometic, I was told that these
thermostats would work with the new ACs.

Perhaps you can contact Dometic (assuming they're the AC you have)
and see if they can suggest a compatible full range thermostat that
will work with your AC.
