Is there a way to repair a valve stem rim hole?

I went out yesterday and talked with a good friend who runs an RV and
Truck repair outfit and he said that probably my rim could be fixed.
He gave a number to me about a repair service that mobil for fixing
truck tires. I called him up today and he came over right away and
now the rim is being repaired the proper way at a shop. But the best
news is that my on the road insurance is going to pay for the whole
opperation!!!! Boy I finaly get some money back out of that insurance
that I have been paying for years and years. So by this afternoon
sometime the mobil repair service guy will be back with my rim and
tire and installed. So as they say at KOA "I'm one happy camper"
