Andy,
If you don't have any luck with NAPA, you may try a marine repair facility as
the Perkins is a popular marine engine and they might be able to get parts for
you...

Kind of hard to believe a place the size of Atlanta doesn't have a

good bearing supply and repair house that could replace that bearing!

I know this was discussed in the past on the forum, but a I did a

quick search for you but I couldn't find the posts. I'll look in my

offline backup files when I get home. Seems like the bearing was

available at NAPA?



In any event, you might want to take a look in the Links section at

the Perkins Diesel Repair Manual link for some part numbers of the

dynamo on page B.13 for the part numbers on the dynamo which might

provide some clues to a parts counter guy. Section Q.5 covers the

operation, but I did not see any part numbers in there.
