trip,, tires,, air
Hi All.......Got home to not so sunny Wisconsin last Sunday and was
greeted by a light snow shower about 5 miles from home....wonder who
was in charge of the welcome home commitee.........

Made a final deal with the tire guy...He came right to the house to
look at my tires for resale or capping and has agreed to give me $550
for my tires so the set of 1 year old Michelin take offs will cost me
just under $3,000 ....He does,nt care for balancing powder , mostly
on my drives cause of the slit shot pressure equlizers which he
thinks could dammage them if the powder gets into them.....So we will
balance only the steers ( with stick-on weights) and if we detect and
imbalance in the drives or tag we will balance them later.......

I had no front air conditioning on my way home (did,nt need it very
long anyway)..I noticed a couple months ago that the air from the
overhead front air was not as cold as it had been in the past ,, but
on the way it was gone completle, so I can only assume it needs to be
recharged...I had a trucker tell me to recharge it myself with the
new stuff , 134 I think?,, anyway so I stopped at a walmart and the
guy there said I needed to be sure all the old stuff was out cause
they dont mix and I may need a new fitting kit,,so I left with
nothing...When I got back to the parking lot I removed the front
panel to look for the air conditioning unit, which for some reason I
thought I,d seen the compresser tank inside but no luck ,,not
there...........SO now is when again I need HELP........Where on my
1992 is the front air unit located and what does it take to recharge
to the new stuff and can I do it myself????..........DAN SAARI
