Ya know when I had the '81FC with the same power and tranny as yours I wondered
the same thing. The people that sell Pac Brake said sure. But, I talked to several Cat people about it at different rallies and they all said about the same thing - "Cat does not recommend it". The bad part is I can't remember why. I do remember that it wasn't a reason I could readily understand. I no longer have the bus so it is a non-issue to me now. It just seemed to me it should work.
