New member - hi, and a pre-purchase question
Hi Greg,
I noticed your post and have a 1984 PT 40 for sale at $49,900. The inside is cream exept for the woodgrain kitchen cabinets and closets. We have had it four years and just aren't using it enough. The bus has 231,000 on it, but is straight and tight. The 6V92T (green) was replaced 78,000 miles back with a 6V92T Silver. There are three pictures on the Vintagebirds site. Ernie Ekberg and Ralph Fullenwider have both seen the bus and can give you an objective opinion. We are about to go empty nest, sell the house, and live in a Bluebird (or so goes our plan!). I'm a former high tech marketer guy with Compaq and Sony, and a video producer by profession currently. Barbara is a massage therapist (and very good at it, which is of much comfort to me!) > > We're in the market for a mid to late 80's pusher, most likely a PT40. We'll be buying sometime next week, hopefully. We've looked at one in person and several others via photographs, ermail and phone, and believe that we really want white or off-white interior since this will be a live-in and we'd prefer the brightness and apparent spaciousness that lighter colors give. > > So, my initial question to the group is - > > Has anyone ever tried to change the color of existing cabientry? Is it prohibitively expensive, impossible, or just rare? > > If anyone knows of any 36-40' birds for sale under $100K with all white cabinets and drawers, please let me know. > > Thanks! > Greg > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > |
