Any 'Lodge PT/WBs with Jake Brakes?
Larry,
The engine brake works fine once I got accustomed to keeping the RPMs above 1,500. It wont leave any tire marks when engaged but I had the coach down many steep grades out West where I would have had to stop to cool down the trans/retarder. Eisenhower and Vail passes had some of the longest downgrades but I only had to put a little retarder every couple miles to keep speeds comfortable. Also just exiting interstate highways using retarder and "Jake brake" eliminated using foot brake till a short distance before light/stop sign. I would expect your 8V92 would perform noticeably better with two more cylinders pumping.
