I notice that the water temp will hang around 190 once I let it get
hot enough to turn the fan on. So, if I hammer on it too hard and the
fan comes on it stays on until we drop off a very long hill.
The fan comes on around 190 and turns off when the temp reaches 185.
I have replaced my thermostats. They require 180deg.thermostats.
Someone had put 160deg thermostats in, trying to get it to run cooler,
I suppose.
I think 160's made it smoke more. Caterpiller says 180's are correct.
I don't know if all this will help or not.
