Dish Network versus Direct TV

I can't answer about Datron dishes, but both Dish and Direct are roughly equal
in performance. Where the problem lies in most cases, and definitely with yours,
is with local install issues. If you get lucky the Dish installer will be
slightly more competent than the DirecTV installer (with the extremely low
per-install pay rates neither has a high percentage of good installers).

I eliminate that problem by always doing every bit of the install, home or
coach, myself.
