Trip to PA
Hey Larry,

I think you mean 15 W 40, My understanding of syn is that it can
handle a higher temp.heat, but you may not notice a reduction in the
running temp reading. I use the old dino technology in the 3208
15W40 Rotella.
My oil temp seemed to run high, until I replaced the oil temp gage
and the matching sensor. All is well now 20* /30* higher than
coolant temp.

few mountains... I was experiencing high oil temps in the 250* range,
just a guess as the Gage reads 230* and then 320* it was somewhere in
the middle... with the water temps in the 190's... pyro temps running
@ 950*... I am running 5-40 delvac synthetic... I would think that
the temps would be lower with the synthetic... Is it possible the oil
cooler could not be working properly??? I have been turning the fan
override on when the water temp gets to 190* which brings the oil
temps down slowly... What are all your opinions as to a fix???

couple of days the left rear jack had completely returned to its
nesting position... What would cause this to happen???
