With the help of Stephen Birtles and the folks at Cole-Hersee, I have
brought my levelers back from the dead. A dead solenoid was the
problem, as suspected, and the rest of the system works fine except for
a yet-undiagnosed oil leak coming from one jack. These HWH systems are
really resiliant, my understanding from the previous owner was that the
jacks had not been used in many years.

It is really, really fun to find success in projects like this,
especially for a guy like me who is not trained as a mechanic and has
to lern as I go. This forum is an amazing tool, couldn't get anything
done with out it. Thanks to everyone who has ever helped me.
