Entry Step
John,
I had excellent luck with my Kwikee step but it replaced a similar electric step instead of air-operated as in BB's. I think the whole installation was about 500 dollars parts and labor.Brad Barton 00LXiDFW bbartonwx@... The entire step really needs replaced and this would seem to me to be an easier way to do it. They are 12 volt operated and they come with everything needed. On the other hand what do I know??? But I will be learnin'John Heckmancentral Pa 1973 FC >> > John, > I had to put a different switch on my Newell because of a new step installation.> And replacing the plunge switch in the door jamb with the newere magnetic switch > at the bottom was nice improvement. Only thing..it was stuck on with double stick tape..came off..but I found it before it was too late and superglued it back on. If you want the original BB air-actuated step, the magnetic quick-ee switch may not work, I don't know. I don't have much of anything under that step. No mechanism or valves. It appears that most parts are missing so my question is more basic. I have what is an obvious switch on the inside door jam and the steps them selves but I basically am going to have to start over getting the air and electral components. Looks like a job for the professionals. I just was wondering if this is all BB stuff or if other coaches have similar? Don't think I am up to all that is involved with this one.
