Towing auto transmission Jeep
Probably not, but just to get technical, there are now some two-wheel-drive
jeeps that are not towable, and I don't think that would include any CJ7. As long as it has a transfer case with neutral, you can tow it. Instructions for mine ('07 liberty) are: transmission in neutral, shift transfer to neutral, put transmission in drive or reverse and rev it to make sure transfer case is free, put transmission in park, engine off, key "on," parking brake off, drive away. There are even a few newer jeeps without steering locks, but mine is not one of them, hence still need key on.
