Propane Tank Capacity? (84FC35SB)
Measure it? Any data plate?
My "45 gallon" tank has a lot of data stamped in the side, part of which identifies it as being 43.5 gallons. My tank is roughly 39 inches long by 18 inches in diameter. That's 39xPix9sq which is 9924 cubic inches, and there are 192 cubic inches per gallon. 51.7 gallons. Knock off for the rounded ends and the thickness of the shell and ~45 sounds right. Point is, measurement will sure tell the difference between 45 and 25. 25 gallon tanks hold 20, and 45's hold 36, because they are limited to 80% of capacity. 43.5 would hold 35.
