swing rad
Listen to the MH recipe on this Swing rad,
In addition the top rad hose is disconnected from inside the doghouse
along with the wire to the low coolant reservoir. More caution when
swinging, there is not much clearance for the lower hose and the
winged drain valve should be in a horizontal position or it may hang-
up and rip off.
This is not a fun job, so while it is open one should consider
replacing: all belts, the two oil cooler hoses, thermostat, all hoses
exposed to heat and motor vibration, a few one inch heater hoses that
are behind the radiator, and possibly rebuilding the alternator.
Sorry for the long list for a simple question ,but there is a lot of
maintenance behind the radiator and this is the short list.

draining a couple of gallons of coolant. Charge air cooler hoses
need to be released obviously. The assy will swing enough to gain
access with the charge air cooler intact. More movement is available
if the cooler and upper curb side mount are removed. Be cautious not
to over stress the lower hose when moving things around.

and flex gear wrenches make the job possible. The "fingers" are
needed to restart the hoses, be careful not to perforate them. It's
easy to hate while doing this job.
