Bridge Education
The same thing happened to us on a tiny mountain road in NE Alabama three weeks
ago. We could not turn around but got lucky with two consecutive one lane 24 ton weight restricted bridges over a gorge. It still makes you pucker up. I plan to stay closer to the major highways and take the car on excursions. Of course we're 12.5' high and over 50,000 lbs wet. Luckily, no traffic and we were able to back it out of there without incident. Lesson learned: Stay on the interstates as much as possible.
